The Scribbles of loneliness

        Creased bed sheets, pale pillow covers,
She immersed herself in the world of loud shreaky                                  soundtracks from the West.


For her world came to light when it was night.
             Large staring eyes and a blank wall--

                She wasn't alive yet living;

                She ate enough,yet felt empty..

           She stood alone in a familiar crowd.

For darkness had become her guiding light,
For darkness relieved her from her plight,
For she had become what Darkness defined-

          empty,desolate,without sunshine!


"That is how loneliness feels!" she said.
"That's how hard and bad it strikes."
